How to Build a Weekly Review Routine in Notion
A simple 4-step weekly review practice that keeps your projects on track and your mind clear.
A weekly review is the single highest-leverage habit for solo creators. It only takes 30 minutes but saves hours of confusion later. Here's how I structure mine inside a Notion dashboard.
Start by reviewing your completed tasks. Move anything done to a 'Done' database so you can reflect on progress. Then look at your upcoming week: are there any deadlines that need attention? Reschedule what's unrealistic.
Next, check your goals. I keep a 'Goals' table linked to projects. If I haven't touched a goal in two weeks, I either break it into smaller steps or archive it. Finally, update your 'Next Actions' list. This should be a short, prioritized set of tasks you'll tackle tomorrow.
That's it. The key is consistency, not complexity. Once you set up a review template, it becomes automatic. Your future self will thank you.
