How to structure your freelance dashboard for maximum productivity

A three-section framework that solo creators use to keep projects, clients, and finances in one place.

Most freelancers start with a blank Notion page and end up with a digital junk drawer. Here's a better way.

Divide your dashboard into three zones: Inbox (tasks and to-dos), Active (current projects and clients), and Archive (completed work and invoices). This mirrors how your brain naturally categorizes work.

Within each zone, use linked databases to avoid duplicating info. For example, a client database can feed into a project database and an invoice database. One edit updates everything.

Test this structure for a week. I bet you'll reclaim at least two hours you used to spend hunting for files.
